SECTIONING VALVE STATION FOR HVJ PIPELINE
Project Description
The Sectioning Valve Station Project for the Hazira–Vijaipur–Jagdishpur (HVJ) Natural Gas Pipeline, executed for Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL), involved the engineering design and documentation of critical valve station infrastructure to enhance the operational reliability and safety of the national gas transmission network.
The scope of work included the preparation of Plot Plan, Process Flow Diagram (PFD), and Single Line Diagram (SLD) for the sectioning valve station, ensuring optimal layout configuration, safety compliance, and integration with existing pipeline systems.
Key engineering activities comprised:
Development of detailed layout (plot plan) considering accessibility, safety clearances, and maintenance requirements.
Preparation of PFD to represent process logic, flow control, and instrumentation requirements.
Electrical and control system design through SLDs, ensuring seamless coordination between field instrumentation, control panels, and SCADA systems.
Compliance with GAIL’s engineering standards, OISD guidelines, and applicable pipeline safety codes.
The design deliverables supported GAIL’s goal of efficient sectional isolation, operational flexibility, and enhanced safety control across the HVJ pipeline — one of India’s most critical natural gas corridors.
