Holm hill & Lorg 132 KV/33kV Switchyard and Substation

Project Description

The Holm Hill & Lorg 132kV/33kV Switchyard and Substation Project involved the comprehensive design and engineering development of all key civil, structural, and electromechanical components essential for a modern, high-reliability power substation. Executed by Sync Energy Pvt. Ltd. in partnership with Scottish Power Energy Networks (SPEN), the project’s scope encompassed the detailed design and drawing preparation for the 33kV switchgear building, foundation systems, and modular control building.

The engineering works included the design of electromechanical plant structures and foundations, cable duct and trench layouts, drainage systems, internal access roads, and perimeter fencing with security infrastructure. Emphasis was placed on safety, operational efficiency, and compliance with SPEN’s high standards for substation infrastructure.

The design integrated robust structural analysis, precise foundation detailing, and optimized cable routing to ensure long-term reliability, ease of maintenance, and environmental resilience. This project contributes to strengthening the regional transmission network, supporting renewable integration and grid stability in alignment with SPEN’s sustainability and modernization objectives.
